Uwe (Huey) Belz (born 27 may 1964) is a German singer-songwriter. Belz plays an acoustic mix of blues, folk and rock music and is known for his guitar-playing skills. At the age of 30 he decided to swap his mainstream musical life for the wilderness of the USA. He chose Tom Brown Jr. as a teacher to learn the special ways of tracking, nature and wilderness survival. After experiencing the US wilderness for one year (1997 / 1998), he returned to Germany and set up one of the first German wilderness schools.
